1. Open a telnet session to the CDM Router’s IP Address, usually 192.168.1.50.
Note if the IP address of the unit is not the default (192.168.1.50) please use the correct address instead.
2. A black box will appear with the line “cdcs login:” displayed.
Enter the following credentials:
cdcs login: root
Password: gronk
3. Next type in “cat /etc/httpd.conf” and press the enter key. This retrieves the current password and displays it on screen. The password shown the the example figure above is password.
4. Once you have the current password log into the web configuration page by navigating to http://192.168.1.50 in a web browser.
Select the LAN tab on the top left hand side of the page.
Note if the IP address of the unit is not the default (192.168.1.50) please use the correct IP address instead.
5. Next under the Remote Administration section type in the new admin password you wish to use and press the Save button.
The password has now been changed.
